How much does a translation cost?expand_more
Document translation is quoted on word count, language pair, subject matter and how quickly you need it. Certified vital records such as birth or marriage certificates are usually quoted per page instead, because the amount of text is predictable. Interpretation is quoted per hour or per minute depending on the mode, with a short minimum booking. Send the files or describe the assignment and you will have a fixed quote, not an estimate that moves later.
How fast can you deliver a certified translation?expand_more
A standard document such as a birth certificate, marriage certificate or police clearance is typically ready within 24 to 48 hours, and rush delivery in around 12 hours is available. Longer records, court files and academic transcripts are scoped individually. The delivery time in your quote is the one we work to, and if anything threatens it you hear from us while there is still time to act.
Will USCIS accept your certified translations?expand_more
Yes. Our certified translations carry a signed statement of accuracy attesting that the translation is complete and accurate and that the translator is competent in the language pair, which is what United States Citizenship and Immigration Services requires. If a filing is rejected on translation or certification grounds we re translate and re certify at no cost. Notarization is available where a consulate or court asks for it.
Do you translate Somali, and which dialect?expand_more
Both. Maxaa Tiri is the standard variety used in official documents and broadcasting, and Maay is spoken widely across southern Somalia. The two differ enough that a Maay speaker is not always well served by a Maxaa interpreter, so we ask which one your client speaks and assign a linguist accordingly. The same care applies to Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese and every other language with significant regional variation.
Do you use machine translation or artificial intelligence?expand_more
Not for the work we deliver. Every translation is produced by a qualified human linguist and reviewed by a second independent linguist before delivery. Machine output misreads context, invents plausible wording where a source is unclear and cannot be certified for legal validity. Your content is also never used to train machine translation systems or language models.
How do you keep our documents confidential?expand_more
Every engagement is covered by a confidentiality agreement, and every translator, interpreter and transcriber signs one as a condition of receiving work. Your material reaches only the project manager and the linguists assigned to it, travels over encrypted connections, and is deleted on request. Interpreters and transcribers working on clinical material are trained on HIPAA obligations.
Can you interpret at short notice?expand_more
Over the phone interpreting can usually connect within minutes and video remote interpreting within the hour for common languages. On site assignments need more notice, typically several days, and longer for less widely spoken languages. Urgent legal and medical requests are handled around the clock.
